James "Jim" Gordon Sinicki

James “Jim” Gordon Sinicki, age 62 of Rock Hill, South Carolina died peacefully surrounded by family on the morning of March 23rd, 2024 at Atrium Health Pineville Hospital. He was born on February 22nd, 1962 in Filer City, Michigan to Gordon and Virginia Sinicki. He attended Manistee High School. Jim spent many years on Lake Michigan and often returned to Manistee with family. Jim had many hobbies growing up- fishing, football and motocross to name a few. 

Jim was preceded in death by his father Gordon Sinicki. He is survived by his mother Virginia, brother John (Gail), son Keaston (Madison), daughter Alyssa, stepson Richard Vinesett (Kathy), as well as grandchildren Marshall (Richard), Charlotte (Richard), Avery (Alyssa), Hadleigh (Keaston) and a granddaughter coming soon (Keaston). 

Jim founded American Fiberglass Corporation in 1989 and served as the President for the last 35 years. When Jim wasn’t working, he was enjoying dinner and drinks with life long friends and family. Jim’s greatest joy was being a grandfather and  watching his grandchildren grow up. He will be missed by many. 

Funeral Mass will be at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church (292 Munn Road E Fort Mill, SC 29715) on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024 at 11:00AM. A celebration of life will be held afterwards in the sanctuary hall. Please feel free to come as early as 10:30 to greet the family and watch a special video of photos from Jim’s life. 

Our family would like to thank all of those who have shown tremendous support in Jim’s final weeks. This includes (but is not limited to) Judy Sinicki, Sheri Simmons and all of the healthcare workers at Atrium Health Pineville.
