Darlene T. Lesslie

Mrs. Darlene T. Lesslie was born in York County, April 27, 1936, a daughter of the late Charlie and Lottie May Thompson. She was a pillar of her family and the community here in Rock Hill.  Mrs. Lesslie loved working at the Hospice Community Care Resale Shop and in her younger years with special needs children and at York Technical College.  She was also a long time donor and supporter of St. Judes, and attended Mount Holly United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her sister Doretta Comer; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Ellis "Bob" Jr. and Debi Lesslie of Rock Hill.; daughter and son-in-law, Judy Lesslie Funston and David Funston of Arizona.; grandchildren, Robert Ellis "Trey" Lesslie Ill of Rock Hill, Glennis Lesslie Chandler of Rock Hill, David Bostick Funston Jr. of Arizona.; Quade Ellis Crabtree of Rock Hill; and great-grandchildren, Emma Jayne Lesslie, Sara Grace Lesslie and Zachary Mason Lesslie all of Rock Hill; Michael Luke Chandler and Aurelia Darlene Funston, Azlyn Elaine Funston, and Luna Gene Marie Funston all of Arizona.; and great-great-grandson Clayton Ellis McLean.

The service will be from 2 to 3 p.m., Monday April 1st at Neely’s Creek ARP Church.
